Lecture Demonstration and Meet Claire

Today we prepared and performed a lecture demonstration for Osher Lifelong Learning Center. We had to reorganize the lec dem a bit from what we did for Family Fun Fest because we performed it without our trainees, but it went off perfectly! It was a real treat having the ladies in to visit the studio.

Also, remember that this week, October 5-11, is our fundraiser with Hemingways Wine & Bistro. Be sure to stop in for a fantastic meal and let your server know you're with MCB. $3 of each entree will be donated to us, so eat hearty!

Also, to complete the series of our Dance Profiles, meet Claire, MCB's hometown dancer!

If you could invite anyone to dinner, living or deceased, who would it be and why?:
Jim Morrison. I have always been intrigued by his personality, music, and ability the create such amazing poetry and lyrics.

Favorite indulgence: Any type of clothing that is a onesie, vintage furniture, and multi-colored fake Ray Bans.

Craziest moment onstage: Picking up a receiver on a prop phone on stage and having the whole phone fall to the ground. I was supposed to hang it up but couldn’t after the whole thing had dropped. Whoops!

What do you like to do in your free time?: Go see live music, support local artists, and hang out with my fantastic friends.

Words to live by?: “I want to know if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes, without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human.” This is from the poem "The Invitation" by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. I actually have this tattooed on my back.
