A weekend Dancer Profile to keep our readers entertained until the week begins again. We decided we are going to post Shannon's interview one question per day next week since we asked her five questions and filmed her answers separately.

Say hello to Fernando Rodriguez, MCB's newest male addition!

Full name: Fernando A. Rodriguez II

Hometown: Fort Gratiot, MI

College and location: Grand Valley State University / Grand Rapids, MI

Favorite TV show: I admit to watching a lot of mindless reality TV… other than that I am really into Dexter, Nurse Jackie, and Merlin.

Favorite movie: I can’t pick one favorite movie because there are so many different varieties but I do like a good independent film.

Favorite book/books/author: A book that I really enjoyed and provoked my mind is Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, and I have recently been into memoirs.

Favorite dancer: One of my favorite dancers is Jose Manuel Carreño because I am inspired by his athleticism and artistry.

Most visited website : Hands down facebook..hahaha Second place would go to YouTube!

Favorite place in Columbia: I am new to the area and am having fun exploring!

Three words to describe how you feel about this year with MCB?:EXCITED X 3!!

Biggest influence in your life: Life experiences and those that you surround yourself with. I am thankful to have the support network of friends and family that I have.

If you could invite anyone to dinner, living or deceased, who would it be and why?:The creator of the internet because how all this technology works and where it comes from baffles my mind.

Favorite indulgence : Lately…Taco Bell, Usually…reality TV while eating Taco Bell.

Craziest moment onstage: Every time I perform onstage it feels like a new feat and fills me with complete happiness, but my summer performance at Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre gave me a spiritual, emotional and physical connection with the audience and myself that I will never forget. I learned a lot about myself and what I want to share through the art of dance.

What do you like to do in your free time?: I like to read, relax and hang out with friends.
